Boundless Bedrooms

We’re excited to announce the launch of our Care Home sessions that will focus on visiting those who cannot leave their bedrooms therefore often miss out on the activities and socialising that occurs in the communal areas of a care home.  Boundless Bedrooms has been funded by Beckenham Theatre Trust (link to their website – beckenhamtheatretrust.org.uk) and will launch in Autumn 2025.

Partnering with Kinetika

Sardines Dance had a brilliant 2024 partnering with Kinetika (link to their website- kinetika.co.uk) to deliver inclusive, community dancing with flags workshops, and performances, both nationally and internationally. Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital

In 2023, director Charlene joined the GOSH Arts team as a Resident Artist of the much needed work that this wonderful hospital (gosh.org) provides for children and families.  Some of highlights include:  75yr anniversary celebrations for the National Health Service Christmas celebrations at the ‘Snow Ball’  Weekly joyous dancing & music with families, staff, fellow artists & therapy pups

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant

In 2021 Charlene was offered the role of Assistant Director of the procession ‘The Thank You Dance’ directed by Jeanefer Jean Charles and Ali Pretty from Kinetika.  The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant, which took place on 5 June 2022 involved approx 250 people of all ages and abilities in just ‘The Thank You Dance’ section.  Participants included: Key workers, professional dancers, youth dancers, volunteers and technical staff.

Carnival Together 2018

In 2018 Artistic Director Charlene Low was proud to announce the success of our first Arts Council Grant allowing our Carnival Together project to be run in partnership with Emergency Exit Arts and support from The New Carnival Company (Isle Of Wight), Alegria Samba School & Embaixadores based in Rio, Brazil. Complete Connections Youth Dance

Integrated Youth Group made up of participants 16-25yrs, who are current Newham Sixthform College Students or alumni CCYD meet weekly and take company class teaching them, technique, choreographic skills.
